I contracted KBB to rebuild my shower and couldn't be happier. There were the typical delays (getting put on the schedule and material delays due to everything going on) that weren't expected but also not excessive considering the smaller scale of my job. And after having mentioned the small scale, it came with absolutely no reduction in professionalism, interaction, or quality of work from the company. I am impressed with the work and can say KBB stands behind their (deservedly so) product. They were a pleasure to work with and will be looking them up in the future if I have more kitchen or bathroom work I need.

Northern Virginia KB&B completely renovated our Master Bathroom and it came out great. The whole process from start to finish was clearly communicated and simple to manage. The staff is very transparent and will let you know if something will work or not. They brought ideas to the table which I actually ended up liking more than the original design and is something I am grateful for.

If you're looking for the best that money can buy when finishing your basement, look no further than Nova KBB! We received multiple estimates to finish our basement and this by far was the absolute best quote. To begin we were very specific about some of things we wanted done, to the point where all other contractors said they couldn't do it as we designed and/or quoted us a much higher price. John, Kim and Amanda worked with us through the entire process. They listened to every wish and did their best to meet all our design choices. As you can see, we had 4 different styles of flooring throughout, risers installed in the theater room, special paint scheme in the theater room, double ceiling fans installed in the workout room and more. We were concerned about the 7 load bearing beams, but they are all hidden within the walls. I'm fairly certain John got tired of us, but he never let on if he did. The quality was top notch, which we were a little skeptical about because of the price. But no, Nova KBB did not disappoint.

My husband and I hired KBB to partially finish our basement. We needed a big family room, a gym/office space, and finishing of the stairs/halls. When John came out to give us a free estimate it was clear he was very knowledgeable and experienced in home renovations. The estimate was very reasonable (we got some insane quotes from other contractors and KBB was almost half the cost of our most expensive quote!) The guys showed up on time, did a great job, and cleaned up everyday when they left. Amanda in the office is an absolute gem and was great at responding to any concerns we had via email/phone. I would recommend KBB and in fact, we plan to hopefully have them come back to add a bathroom/bedroom to the basement so it can be fully finished.

We reached out to KBB and right away John came out, gave us a very fair estimate and followed up on our master bathroom renovation. After having several other contractors out we decided on KBB due to ease of communication, transparency in what the plan was and flexibility with changes. John and Kim always followed up to make sure we were happy with the progress and work. The final product far exceeded our expectations and I highly recommended anyone who is looking for work to get done to speak with KBB.

Just wow.. Kim and John went above and beyond on this renovation. They treated us like family and were so responsive throughout the whole process. The results speak for itself. We love Virginia but found that we could never enjoy eating outside due to unrelenting gnats and chiggers. Last year, NOVA KBB (John Powell, owner) had finished our basement and went above and beyond our expectations (see our review on this site), so we asked John and KBB to give us a quote for a 3-season sunroom that would let us enjoy coffee, breakfasts, and dinners outdoors. John and team did a fantastic job executing our vision. We picked out floor-to ceiling-windows, actually a custom multi-track window system that would let us have either a screen or full windows depending on the weather and temperature. We also requested a custom, vaulted ceiling made of tongue and groove between exposed rafters, all painted white. Both the window and ceiling elements were tricky but were installed flawlessly. KBB installed Trex decking on the floor and the steps to the patio and knocked out the wall and windows from our family room to allow a double French Door (with side lights) opening to the 3-season porch from the family room. Again, flawless and seamless - looks like it was always part of our house.We are super-happy with our resulting 3-season room - KBB's craftsmanship and overall attention to detail is apparent. We also appreciated that KBB met our expectations in creating an airy, open, and elegant porch just like the Pinterest photo we provided. We were also VERY satisfied with the price and the speed of John's team with the work completed from start to handover in 5 weeks (May 7 - July 1). Would highly recommend.

Excellent quality and pricing. I used NOVA Kitchen Bath and Basement to finish our basement last spring. John and his crew did an outstanding job. We solicited 5 bids from contractors showing at the Chantilly Home and Garden Show. Although they all appeared qualified, John came across as the most knowledgeable and experienced. He seemed and proved to be very reliable.John's team put in the dry wall, ceilings, electrical, and laminate flooring throughout. He boxed around the sump pump and utility closets. He replaced our exterior door with double French doors. He put in a bathroom with a shower, vanity, and toilet. He put in a lot of lights which makes the basement look great.We have just rehired John to put in a 3-season porch behind our house with French doors from the family room. He is half-way done in 3 weeks. I highly recommend his work.

John & Kim really made us feel at home for every step of the remodeling process. We enjoyed working with them both. Kim was great at helping me choose our color-scheme and figure out what color we wanted and where. Our kitchen looks stunning and my husband and I are so pleased! I am extremely satisfied with our choice of NOVA KBB and will definitely give them a call for our next project!

Our project has only just begun, but based on the experience so far I cannot wait to progress through our basement build-out. The team at NOVA KBB have been amazing! Normally the process of selecting and dealing with a contractor is a stressful endeavor, but John, Kim and team really make the process stress free. Everything has been great from scheduling an appointment, going through the quoting process, and beginning work. The team is honest, direct, provides feedback on design decisions, keeps to their commitments, outlines expectations, flexible, and accommodating. I love working with family owned businesses and this one truly takes pride in making their customers happy through the process. It is great to work with a team that focuses on customer trust by operating their business with integrity. Normally, I wait till the end of the project to post a review, however, I have been so happy with the process so far that I wanted to share my experience up to this point. After interviewing 7 companies for my kitchen remodeling job, I selected NOVA-KBB for the job. The job consisted of:• Removing a wall between my dining room and the kitchen• Moving electrical and phone lines• Extending the hardwood floors from the dining into the kitchen• Moving some existing cabinets to open the line of sight• Replacing counter tops, sink and back-splash• Other small comedic changes including painting and lightingThe original estimate to complete the job was 1½ - 2 weeks. It took 2½ weeks. This was not bad considering that the workers were here every day and full days. I was never waiting on someone to show up nor did they leave early. They were dedicated to my job from start to finish. The workmanship was top notch. Down to the smallest detail Jeff, Josue and all others took pride in their work, never cutting corners and always addressing any issue I had. I would highly recommend NOVA-KBB to my closest friends and will not hesitate to return to them with any remodeling project I may have in the future.

I was referred to NOVAKBB through a designer that worked for them in the past. I had initially gone to another kitchen and bath contractor, but I couldn't get the scope of work changed to what I wanted, so I checked out NOVAKBB and decided to give them a try. The initial scope of work changed by less than $3K due to different materials that we used and other work not in the initial quote. I was very happy with the work that John and his crew did. I wanted the job done by the end of the year and it was! The work was completed within 2 months. There was more trash pulled from the condo because no work had been done in the unit for at least 30+ years. A total gut job, new flooring, doors, bathrooms, kitchen, and paint. His crew worked tirelessly and their efforts showed. I also liked the fact that he had all the trades on staff instead of subbing out the work. I will use them again in the future.

We absolutely love our new master bathroom! NOVAKBB took the design that we envisioned and made it a reality - and did so beautifully. Their team, from the front office to the electricians, plumbers, painters, tilers, etc., are top-notch, professional, hard-working craftsmen who all want to build you the bathroom of your dreams. At one point, we were unsure of the exact placement of our free-standing bathtub, which made it nearly impossible to decide upon the right size and shape. Instead of pressuring us into a decision that we may have later regretted, they built us a mockup of a tub that was the exact dimensions we were considering. We moved this around the bathroom and could see exactly how the bathtub would look at differing placements and angles and we were able to make our decision. This is the type of care and service you will receive from NOVAKBB. What was also important to us is that the owner, John Powell, was frequently on site to personally check in with us and his team which allowed decisions and direction to be implemented immediately. We highly recommend NOVAKBB. If you want an incredible bathroom at a great price, it's NOVAKBB. We will definitely use them again to remodel our daughter's bathroom. I hired Northern Virginia Kitchen Bath & Basement to remodel our master bathroom. First, because of the very fair price that they gave us. They were not the lowest price, but next to it. They started work on our bathroom on a Monday and had the complete bathroom demoed that day and started rebuilding it the next. All the employees were very pleasant and knowledgeable of the work they performed. They put construction paper on our floors from the front door to the bathroom to keep my house clean and safe from debris. They built a very custom shower with a handheld and rain shower head that work great. The tile in the shower is a pebble floor with the wall tile laid in a brick pattern and a shoulder-high border tile that goes around the shower walls. The glass company that works with them installed a beautiful frame-less shower enclosure with a pivot door. They installed a stand-alone tub with a faucet that comes out the floor and pours into the tub. I picked out cabinets from their showroom, which was great because it is all-wood construction with no particle board. The Quartz was installed by their vendor just three days after the vanities were installed. The mirrors, vanity lights, and faucets were installed the next day. Pedro, the painter, did a perfect paint job in the bathroom and also our bedroom. Jeff and Josue were great to work with and they did everything John, the owner, said they would do and then some. We will be using them on our kitchen project in the spring.

After almost 20 years of use from a very large family (11 children to be exact) our old kitchen needed to be remodeled. Being a frugal mom, I not only wanted quality cabinets, I wanted quality work and a fair price. NOVA KB&B came highly recommended so I met with Mr. Powell. He was prompt and courteous and he gave me his honest opinion of what we needed and what he recommended as "extras". He shared his experience and knowledge with details and ideas I would not have known or thought about, and helped me design my dream kitchen with my family's needs in mind. His estimates were accurate and he informed me each step of the way. Mr. Powell was easy to communicate with and was available when I had questions or any concerns. The work began when expected and finished within the expected time.We not only remodeled our kitchen, but decided the adjacent laundry room needed help as well. We gave our ideas and pictures from "pintrist" to John and his crew and they were able to duplicate my exact ideas to produce a more productive and beautiful space for our laundry room needs. The extra work was very reasonably priced and I am over the top with the best laundry room in Loudoun County!From the quality of the cabinets we chose, the granite counter tops, the bay window, the beautiful hood for my stove, the quality sinks, etc. are all more than I could ever have imagined for the money we spent.Besides the actual beauty and functionality, the crew that did the work have been fantastic! They were all extremely courteous and professional, diligent and careful, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day.We are so thrilled with this huge project that everyday I feel excited about cooking and even cleaning up! The heart of the home is in the kitchen and it really has become a dream come true! We would, without a doubt, hire NOVA KB&B all over again; we are now planning on remodeling bathrooms over the next couple years!
